Joel- A brave warrior and a kind soul who touched our hearts during some of the hardest days of our lives. From the moment we met Joel and his incredible family, they became a beacon of light and hope for us, guiding us through the uncertainty and darkness of our own journey with AML. Joel, with his sweet smile and his love for Legos, showed us what true bravery looks like.
We will forever cherish the memories of watching Joel build worlds with his Legos, his spirit unbroken, his heart full of kindness. He was not just a fighter but an inspiration to all who knew him. His family - his wonderful mother Laura, offered us advice, comfort, and unwavering support when we needed it most. For that, we are eternally grateful.
Though his time with us was far too short, Joel’s legacy of courage and love will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him. We carry him in our hearts always, reminded of the preciousness of life and the strength found in even the smallest of hands.
Rest in peace, sweet Joel. You will always be remembered and cherished.
